Dr. Hyun Kim is an internationally recognized thought leader in GI cancer, with special interest in adaptive radiation therapy and radiopharmaceuticals. He is the Principal Investigator of the NOM ERA (Nonoperative Management and Early Response Assessment in Rectal Cancer) trial, evaluating short course radiation and ctDNA in organ preservation, with initial results presented in ASTRO 2025.
Dr Kasia Owczarczyk has completed postdoctoral fellowship in Cancer Imaging Department at Kings College London. She published work on predictive biomarkers in anorectal radiotherapy and the role of radiomics in GI malignancies. She is part of the MR Linac advisory group at GenesisCare UK and has been the clinical lead for development of MR guided dose escalated short course rectal radiotherapy protocol.
Dr Svetlana Balyasnikova has a strong research interest in rectal cancer imaging, in particular in improving precision target volume delineation and MR guided rectal cancer radiotherapy. She completed a PhD research fellowship in advanced rectal cancer imaging with Professor Gina Brown at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
