The one day course is aimed​at senior surgical trainees and consultants who would like first-hand experience with the Da Vinci robotic system.

The day will start at 9am and finish around 15.30 and will include the following:

  • Presentations on robotic surgery

  • An introduction to the available da Vinci robots highlighting the differences between them

  • Hands-on demonstration of the da Vinci robot, the setup, docking, instrument insertion/change and undocking

  • Introduction to the robotic simulator

  • Demonstration of advanced instrumentation and new technology

  • Convincing your employer and putting a business cases towards the purchase of a robotic system

HPV infection to Invasive cancer; natural history of SCC. Differences between low and high risk viral genotypes. (20min)


Cytology and anal pap test; first step to diagnosis or a waist of resources? (20min)


Pathology and microscopic appearance of low and high grade displasia. Markers of AIN recurrence and progression to invasive cancer, if any. (20 min)
